Madakaripura Waterfall

Here we go!

Let's check it out! The story I've promised to ya'll if you read the previous article in this blog. Yuk cussss. Cekidot. (come on, check it out)

Madakaripura Waterfall.

This waterfall is located in Lumbang, Probolinggo, East Java. I visited this place after I went to Bromo before. Such a delightful adventure. Being a liar 'Bocah Petualang' (Adventurer kid) for 2 days. Yeah, I was a rebellious kid for 2 days, because I lied to my parents to go to Bromo, by motorcycle. It was a dangerous thing I ever did (dangerous? proud about it?) and I felt guilty. I just thought it didn't matter because teenagers have a fearless soul.

It didn't take a long time from Bromo to this waterfall, by motorcycle.
The entrance is only IDR5,000 a person. If someone like a local guide took you to guide you through the waterfall, make sure that you know the price of their guide service. In my experience, they just looked like friendly people who didn't require a cost and didn't say anything about the cost. But in the end, you must pay an exact number amount of money for his/her guidance service without bargained. It because my friends and I were just a group of teenagers who could be easily fell to his mock. We're too fool to not checking the price. It was the second time we fell to the lies by a local guide on this trip. But that was much better than in Bromo. Maybe it was our karma (?) because we lied to our parents. So this was the second time we paid more expensive than the proper cost for a guide service. We couldn't bargain.

After taking a long walk time, we arrived at the waterfall. It's a peaceful place and scary at the moment. The guide said that we could scream out our hopes at this waterfall. Made no sense, huh. We passed rocks by rocks. Stepped into a sloping riverbank through the current of the river, and got wet. Like a rainy day, but it wasn't. It was a waterfall's dripping water. You couldn't shun from getting wet. That's why the guide suggested us to wear the raincoat. The importance is; if you brought a camera, you could bring out your waterproof for your camera nor your handphone. Make sure that you go to Madakaripura, not on a rainy day. This waterfall could be closed because it could be dangerous.

At the time I got there, circa 3 years ago, it was a quiet place. Not many tourists and the track was still difficult. The tourists were just 9 people (my friends, me, and a couple).
I heard from my friend who just visited this place that the tracks are more accessible than 3 years ago. Such good news for you is all who want to visit this place.

Spamming pictures begins.. :D
