Surabaya Heritage Track of Museum HoS

Hello everyone! I’m going to tell you about my visit to the Museum in Surabaya. Not really in the Museum, it’s about my trip by bus, bus from Museum House of Sampoerna in Surabaya. It’s a cigarette museum, and enjoy my travelling in my lovely city Surabaya ;)

I went to this museum to show my lovely friends this museum because they had never known anything about this museum and the important thing was to search for a nice spot of a nice picture haha. But unfortunately, I couldn’t enter this museum because I was just 17 to 18 years old for 5 days later at that time. We will be shown about the history of Sampoerna by this museum, maybe, because I’ve never entered this museum (for further more about this museum and what's inside you could see this: Link). My friends did. I just took for the Surabaya Heritage Track bus. This bus took me travelled around historical buildings in Surabaya. For you who likes a free charge service, it such a happy thing to travel without waste money ;D

Maybe that was my luck because I travelled this bus with a group of foreign tourists, such a nice trip and environment ;)
I chose the route schedule at 3 p.m; it's the last time of the bus to operate. I saw the bus schedule to operate in front of the museum. (I'm sorry I wasn't taking any picture of the schedule)
I’ll tell you the route of this bus below.

The first building we visited is the post office. This post office is one of the historical buildings in Surabaya. Once, this post office was a Train Station in colonial-era long time ago. I haven't known as well precisely, because I focused on my camera lol.

From this post office, we took for a walk in the church. I’d never gone to the church before. But that time, I entered the church, and the guide said that this church was under construction. I had known from this that SMPN 2 Surabaya is in front of this church near the post office.

After that, we went to De Javasche Bank, a bank in the colonial era, but it’s not a bank anymore. It’s just a historic building, and that was the first money printing machine in this bank, and the guide told us about everything. From the very very secured money storage, money from times to times, and the history of this building.

Money bunker
That was a money bunker which I told you before, a very very secured money storage. With propeller protection from iron, iron bars, and yellow-coloured haha

This Javasche Bank is soo historical, you could see this history inside the building.

For a moment, I wish I could get a route with this bus to visit Hong Tiek Hian in Surabaya and entered this place because I wonder about what’s inside this Buddhist prayer place. I just need to see the route schedule in front of this museum door, haha. I’ve been here two times and have tried at least three routes of this bus but I have never entered this museum because I wasn’t 18 yet (Now I’m 18 ^^)

For the information, this museum required for 18+ years old visitors, maybe because it will show you everything about cigarettes and this founder museum. If you are haven’t 18 yet, you could enter this museum with your parents. When you came to this museum, you would felt the smell of tobacco everywhere filled the entire room...
Those who have ever entered this museum said that in this museum, we could see the workers of Sampoerna roled so many cigarettes. But now, the place of these workers not in this museum anymore, I haven't known exactly the current location.

If you are not with your parents, so many alternatives to take, you could take the bus tour -like me- go entered the gallery (the gallery is small), and the cafe. I’ve never entered this cafe because I’m afraid of the expensive cost and many foreign tourists in this cafe. Haha.
I met my friends after that bus trip in front of this museum and took so many pictures together.

That’s all my experience in this museum, I just want to share a little information about a good place in Surabaya. See you ;)
